FAQs

Do I need to book beforehand?

Booking is not necessary.  It would be helpful if you arrived a few minutes early on your first walk, then made yourself known to a Leader, and completed a short registration form.

How much does it Cost?

Our Walks themselves are entirely FREE.  The Kings Lynn Ferry walk does require payment of a one-way ticket.  There may be times when you decide to use a Pay for Parking facility.

Do I need any special equipment?

You should wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather conditions.  Note that, except for Grade1 walks, muddy ground and puddles can be met most of the year in Norfolk!  Carry drinking water in hot weather and on longer walks.

What if I can't keep up?

Our Walk Leaders are trained to look after the whole group. There is usually one at the back and, on popular walks, another one or two in the middle. You will not be left on your own.  Some of our strongest walkers were at the back when they first started! If you have any doubts, first try our Easy/Starter Walks  or a Library Walk & Talk.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are allowed on most walks, kept on a non-extendable lead.  Owners must complete a Disclaimer Form and then bring and use poop bags.

Can I bring a child?

Anyone can join our walks but those under 18 must be with a Responsible Adult.
